I was looking for any project to compile without errors for the ESP32-P4-NANO-D kit (with 10.1 inch display) because I could not get any sample to work on Visual Studio Code. Then I found your Grid Board project, it compiled as a breeze! Thanks for that!
Along this path, I also became enthusiastic about the Grid Board project.
But when trying to get some text to the screen, I failed to get something working on Android. I found some applications, like OxYmora's BLE, which connects to the Grid Board. But when I type something the Grid Board does not respond with an display update.
I could not found any solid Flutter support for Android too. (iPhone yes)
Also, if I want to place it somewhere and want to remotely send text to it (in a Home or Office environment) BLE is not ideal.
So, Grid Board would be more useful if it polls a gmail, Teams, Whatsapp or Signal account for example. That would enable sending a message from outside to the Grid Board for the audience/workers there.
It will certainly wake up everybody. ;-)
PS. I made a casing for the ESP32-P4 and its 10.1 inch waveshare model # 30052 display 800 × 1280 (H×V) - see:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7161602
If you have any suggestions, how to send text with Android or so, please respond.
Kind regards, Dennis / Amsterdam
