We should focus on the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem for the download of the Sentinel-1 data because the Copernicus Scihub is going to be shutdown in June 2023. https://dataspace.copernicus.eu/index.html#data-access
In April 2023 they plan to also provide a STAC Catalog API, so it might be useful to have a look into that.
