Hi, sorry for the late reply (we should have earlier, but we've been looking at this for a good few days now).

We are still working on root causing this issue - it appears that APT has an implicit logic with ignoring non-existing (404) or non-conformant (CrowdSec's Release/InRelease files indicate an APT FTP Archive but did not put Contents* in a component, say `main/Contents.gz). Once we figure out how APT does this, we will release a fix.

But for now, if this is causing you trouble, please consider building from #633, it should work well enough as a workaround (but not so much as a fix).

still doesn't work, I think it is a universal problem for packages hosted in packagecloud.io.
Is any log or information I can provide? I did compile and install from #633 .
