Codex having issues with BrowserMCP

I used BrowserMCP with Claude Code and had no issues at all, but I've recently switched to OpenAI's Codex, and while it can see the MCP, it insists that it can't see the tab i'm connected to, only an about:blank page. It's acting like a headless browser, rather than seeing my already logged in connected tab, which is the main reason why i find BrowserMCP so useful.

BrowserMCP connection to AI tools stopped working for me a few days ago as well.

Tested with Claude Code v2.0.1 and Warp v0.2025.09.17.08.11.stable.

I see this in my browser MCP logs: 2025-09-30 13:48:35.742 | [info] MCP [pid: 20584] stderr: ERROR: The process "10792" not found.

@rhukster could you check with Claude Code again? What do your logs show?

I killed both processes and restarted MCPs, that solved the issue with Warp for me. Will try Claude Code in a few hours when my context limit resets.
