Smart indent doesn't trigger if choices are preceded by modifier commands

If smart indent is enabled, a carriage return on a line with a choice option # will drop the cursor and automatically indent it another level. This doesn't seem to happen if the choice option is preceded by *selectable_if or *hide_reuse commands.
