Jellyfin has "resolved" the bug by allowing users to disable PGS compatibility in the client and instead forcing a server transcode: jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv#4729
Reproduction steps
1. Play title with PGS subs containing overlapping segments enabled on Android TV
2. No subtitles visible during the time when both segments overlap
