Be direct about work and generous about people. Criticise a design, a measurement or a line of code as hard as you like; do not criticise the person who wrote it.
Specifically, in this project:
- Disagreement is the point. A maintainer is wrong sometimes and the issue tracker is where that gets found out.
- "It works on my machine" is a measurement, and saying which machine is the difference between a report and an opinion.
- Harassment, personal attacks, and sustained disruption are not welcome, and neither is the style of argument whose purpose is to exhaust somebody.
Report conduct concerns through this repository's Security tab (Report a vulnerability opens a private channel) or to the maintainers directly.
Maintainers may remove comments, close threads, and block accounts. A maintainer who acts under this document says that they did and why, in public, unless doing so would identify a reporter who asked not to be identified.
This repository, its issues, its pull requests, and any space where somebody is representing the project.
