No tone when placing call

Not sure if its just an AUS thing.
When placing a call, no ring tone is heard from speaker just silence till other end picks up or times out and goes to the receivers message bank.

network: boost (Telstra 'Australia').

I'm having this same issue in the USA. Can't trace exactly when it began, but it started after the release of 14.03.
