Hi,

I am using Label Studio to annotate ECG and IMU data together.

I would like to create a region (for example, “sitting”) on one signal, and have the exact same region automatically appear on the other signal within the same task.

How can I do this?

Thank you for contacting Label Studio,

At the moment, a single region can’t be auto-created on two different TimeSeries objects in the same task. In Label Studio, each control tag (TimeSeriesLabels) must target exactly one object (toNamesupports one object only), so drawing on ECG won’t automatically mirror to IMU.

Could you try the below suggestions and let us know if it addresses your usecase :

1. Put ECG and IMU into one TimeSeries with multiple channels

• Then every region you draw is inherently the same time interval across all channels.

• Example labeling config:

• Your CSV could look like:time,ecg,imu_ax,imu_ay,imu_az 0.000,0.12,0.01,-0.02,0.98 0.010,0.15,0.02,-0.02,0.97 ...

• If ECG and IMU are in separate files or different sampling rates, merge/resample them offline into a single time axis before import.

2. Keep ECG and IMU as separate TimeSeries objects

• You’ll need two label controls and to annotate both objects. Example:

Thank you for the suggestions!
Merging the IMU files with ECG is not that convenient because IMU has 3 different data (accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer) each consisting of 3 values (x, y, and z), thus, having all in one causes unclear display of the data.
The second suggestion is what I have been doing, I am now just looking for a more practical solution.
