One thing you may misunderstood, this project is intended to provide a package for manually install, but this package is not necessary for the InputShare project. You can run it without this android package.

Just the edge toggling feature do not work.

The closest tool that I found until now that may solve my problem is called "DeskDock Server". It is composed by two parts : a java server that can be installed on Linux and the client,an app for Android,that should be installed on Android. It works like this : I move the mouse at the end of the border of the screen in Linux and the pointer of the mouse will enter into the Android Desktop and in this way I can move the mouse there and click where I want. This is what I need. I need this because I need to virtualize Phoenix OS / Darkmatter with bhyve under FreeBSD,but unfortunately I can't move the mouse pointer inside Android. The reason is that bhyve does not support some USB protocols yet. Instead,the mouse pointer works if I virtualize Darkmatter in Linux using qemu and kvm. The real problem is that DeskDock Server crashes when the connection is established. I'm very unlucky because that's the right tool for me,but it crashes. And the developer does not reply to my emails. I would like to understand how Input Share can work if you say that there is no need to install the apk client on Android. How can Input share let move the mouse in Android ? How can the server communicate with the client ? To be honest,I see that your server works only on Windows. To be true,I need to run it in Linux,because I don't use Windows. But If it can solve my problem I will try to emulate it with wine in Linux.

Alright, the InputShare works with the Android ADB. So that it just communicates with the Android device via ADB connection.

Since the wireless ADB debugging is only available for android 10 and above, maybe you can try the wired way which i am not sure is available for your virtual machine.

This is what i called the "Edge Toggling" feature. This feature requires you to install the android packge (it will be automatically installed by the PC client so you dont need to manually install it). So you can temporary use the InputShare without the Edge Toggling and it may work.

In Phoenix OS / Darkmatter I can use the ADB wi-fi connection,even on FreeBSD.

What about the Linux version of InputSHare ? I don't have any intention to use Windows. So I hope that it will work with wine in Linux. Is hard for you to make a version that works on Linux ?

Although this is in my plan, I has no experience about making a Linux application, it may be not a easy thing for me to make InputShare work on Linux.

I'm not a programmer,but looking inside your source code I see that you have used python. Python is very friendly with Linux. More than Windows. I suspect that you can make the Linux version very easily.

Thanks. InputShare client for Android requires InputShare Server for Windows ? I don't run Windows. So I suppose that I need InputShare server for Linux,but it hasn't been realized,yet.
