Estimating average fuel combustion emission factors #69

Description

Is there a straightforward way to estimate average emission factors from fuel combustion from the output data ? Owning IEA data, would the ratio of Emissions (Fuel) / ∑ Energy consumption by combustion sectors (Fuel) be a decent estimate ?

If so, from the documentation and mappings files, am I right to understand that fuel consumption from energy industry own use (TOTENGY) is not differentiated from transformation processes (other than electricity and heat production) and is accounted in 1A1bc_Other-transformation which
"is treated more as a “non-combustion” or “process” sector" ? (and thus related emissions are attributed to "process" rather than a specific fuel ?)

About "1A1bc_Other-transformation", the documentation mentions that:

1A1bc-Other transformation (Brown Coal) = IEA Dom Supply (Brown Coal) - ∑ Combustion Sectors (Brown Coal)

What about 1A1bc_Other-feedstocks ? Should non energy use not also be subtracted from domestic supply to get 1A1bc-Other transformation ?

Thanks for your help !
