While comparing Fair and Hector halocarbon RFs we've run into a few questionable elements of Hector's halocarbon implementation. The following things require further attention/investigation.
- Units of emissMol are incorrect, it looks like we should be in units of gigga mol but that is not the case. The molar mass is being read in from the ini file in grams/mol
- What are the units on the AtmosphereDryAirConstant? And why is it being multiplied by .1?
On the RHS of the update atmospheric concentration equation should the Ha be the concentration at the previous time step? Or should it be the pre-industrial concentration? This is a mismatch with the equation in the documentation manuscripts.
- What should the units for rho be?
- Confirm that the halocarbons with non-zero preindustrial concentrations are using the correct values? We seem to be off
