How could the documentation be improved?

Hi,

1. could you specify whether cuDNN SDK refers to the cuDNN library or cuDNN frontend? Currently, the https://sparknlp.org/docs/en/spark-nlp page mentions cuDNN SDK but I could not find any mention of this on https://developer.nvidia.com/cudnn; they only mention cuDNN library or cuDNN frontend

2. Could you name the exact package to be installed on RHEL (link to nvidia cuda repo)? Would it be libcudnn9-devel-cuda-12-<version>.x86_64.rpm? Or libcudnn9-cuda-12-, or cudnn9-cuda, etc.

3. Could you name the exact package to be installed on Ubuntu (link to nvidia cuda repo)?

Hi @rctay,

I agree, that this is pretty confusing (even on nvidias website).

So what you will need is only the cuDNN library/backend (same thing). You can find installation instructions on this webpage for both RHEL and Ubuntu, with local and network instructions:

https://developer.nvidia.com/cudnn-downloads?target_os=Linux&target_arch=x86_64&Distribution=RHEL&target_version=9&target_type=rpm_network

So you can use cudnn-cuda-12 for both platforms. Let me know if that helps!
