What problem does this solve?
At the moment it’s necessary to have local theme songs that this function is working
Proposed solution
Is it possible to rework the theme song implementation to match the behavior of Android TV clients like Void or Dune?
those clients have a simple "Enable Theme Songs" toggle. Once activated, they automatically play theme songs for the majority of TV shows without requiring much manual setup from the user.
Why this would be helpful:
It would be a huge quality-of-life improvement for users who aren't very tech-savvy (like myself). Having a more automated, "plug-and-play" system for theme songs would make the experience much smoother and more immersive.
I’m not sure how Void or Dune for Jellyfin handle it, but it’s probably via metadata since you don't need local theme song files. You just enable the 'theme songs' toggle, and for most shows, the song starts playing automatically on the details page
Platform
Android TV, All / Not platform-specific
