Empty logfiles?

Hi,

I did some testing today (in the car), and all looked fine.
IE: Speed and GPS were shown.

Unfortunately ALL the log files (.ubx, .sbp, .gpy, .gpx and even the .txt), are all 0 bytes file!

I'm using Firmware Ver-T 5.88, and it still has 13.42 MB of free storage space.
Could it be that I'm still on 5.88, or did I setup something wrong?

Can you confirm that you have the 16MB version (T-display also exists with 4MB flash) ? Did you compile the OTA webupdater with the partitions.csv in the sketch-directory ?
My guess : something wrong with the partitions or the flash memory setting.

I ordered it from the link you provided in your "Building Manual / First Flashing" how-to and made sure it was the 16MB version.
Since it's been a while since I did the flashing, I can't remember if I used the partitions.csv file, so that might be the issue.

I suppose reflashing it won’t do any harm.
Is it simply a matter of uploading the OTAWebUpdater.ino again and making sure the partitions.csv file and is in the same directory this time? (obviously the correct Flash size needs to be set too)

Looking at the "old" computer where I flashed the T-Display from I do see the partitions.csv in the same directory as the OTAWebUpdater.ino, so I guess I did do it the correct way.

Maybe I forgot to set the "tools" > "Flash size" correct? I think default is 4MB, and as you mention it should be 16MB?

You can flash the board again, is no problem. What about the config.txt file, is that existing ? When you have access over the webserver, it should be possible to set the configuration and save it. After that, the config file can be downloaded over the webserver. I advise to only set 1 or 2 log files to ON, as the logspace is limited. gpx is readable with most software, but for surfing I advice gpy.

Yes, the config.txt does exist, and so does config_backup.txt.
Downloading it also works, and it's populated with the needed info.

I had all the log data options enabled, and will now try with only one.

I also flashed the board again and am now on version 5.91.
I'll report back later if things are fixed this time.
