Version 1 of the UK Validation service has been deprecated

According to the documentation the v1 has been removed as of Feb 17th and v2 use is recommended:

Caveat is that v2 has been moved behind auth and registration is need to be used

Version 2 moved the Check a UK VAT Number API behind authentication. We moved the API behind authentication so we can fully understand our users.

Version 1 was removed on 17 February 2025. You need to register to have access to Version 2.

Hey thanks for pointing it out. We recently noticed it as well and will set up a fix ASAP. It could take a few weeks though since we need to get an account and access to their new API before we can test it all out.

I've updated the code to allow use of V2 of the UK API. Check out the new readme to see how to use it. Kinda a quick fix that will probably be improved upon in the next major release.
