Thing events list do now show when opened via direct link

I can create some events for a thing.

Then I can view the list of recent events for the thing.

So far so good.

While viewing the list of recent events the URL changes to, for example:
```
http://one.local/things/photo-frame/events?referrer=%252Fthings%252Fphoto-frame
```

But if you then refresh the page, you get an empty view.

Expected result: see the same list.
