failed to open database: database disk image is malformed when launching kiro-cli

Checks

• I have searched github.com/aws/amazon-q-developer-cli/issues and there are no duplicates of my issue
• I have run q doctor in the affected terminal session
• I have run q restart and replicated the issue again

Operating system

macOS 26.2.0 (25C56)

Expected behaviour

When a patch or unexpected reboot hits, that the kiro-cli agent be able to not corrupt when this event occurs.

Actual behaviour

A black screen presented itself randomly and I then experienced a patch to my laptop OS back to back. This forced a restart on my kiro-cli sessions and the error mentioned int he title resulted.

The update/doctor features do not seemingly correct this state, and I cannot seemingly return functionality of the agent.

Steps to reproduce

1. Cause a system hang/freeze and reboot
2. Begin OS update upon initial reboot.
3. launch the terminal and try to acccess kiro-cli
