Codegen fails on latest Visual Studio 2022 17.14.16

When I run the tool it deletes previously generated C# file and shows this error in the popup.

When I try it out it works on both 17.14.15 (preview) and 17.14.16 (preview)

I'll try to see if I can find other ways to reproduce this

FWIW here my about screen. I think the problem started once I moved over to the new Windows 11 laptop. And it's not only me, my colleague is having the exactly same problem.
I've checked AppInsightsClient.cs and there's nothing to crash and most of it in try/catch already.
I've tried to repro this with ActivityLog active but there's nothing in there about the crash. Not sure how I can get the stack trace or logs beyond popup.

I'll setup a non-preview version of Visual Studio and see if I can reproduce it there, if so, then I'll fix it. If I can't reproduce this at all, then I guess we can just remove the telemetry collection entirely. I makes it a bit harder to troubleshoot things from my side, but since its the telemetry collection library that causes the extension to fail, then it doesn't really help me either
