What is causing this strange date highlighting?

I have a custom log alias I use with git:

[alias]
    l = log --pretty=lo --date=human --graph

[pretty]
    lo = tformat:%C(auto)%h%C(reset)%C(auto)%d%C(reset) %s %C(italic blue)%ad%C(reset) %C(241)%aN%C(reset)

When I use this log with less as my pager, OR disable the pager, it looks like this:

However with delta as my pager, it look like so:

Notice that the dates are highlighted. I have set up delta in my gitconfig as the documentation shows to do it, by setting the pager broadly:

[core]
    pager = delta

I'm on Windows, using Git-Bash through the VS Code integrated terminal.

Could someone help me configure Delta so that it does not change the color scheme of my git output?

Pin l to less, since that already looks right:

[alias]
    l = -c core.pager=less log --pretty=lo --date=human --graph

Delta restyles the pager stream. %C(italic blue)%ad is the only span git painted that way.
