An even better idea: maybe add some more characters besides warrior. I think a character that uses a bow would be great, and one that specializes in using magic. That would be more fun.

Considering that the game has 3 difficulty levels, during which the character does not lose resources, the New Game + is simply meaningless, or rather, as Trihedraf mentioned, the difficulty is higher than the standard and there is a New Game +. As a last resort, you can install mods to increase the difficulty of the game.

Lua modding for quests would be cool so I can add some more quests for the later part of the game, since there are only 2 quests that take place in the Cave section. 1.6 is gonna be awesome

The MPQ only contains graphics, audio and a few level elements, no game logic. All logic for the game used to be hardcoded in the exe.

We already support adding new items, and I think also dialogs via TSV and some Lua as well.

If you can give me an example of what the Lua code you would expect to write should look like that would be helpful.

@AJenbo do you think it would possible to define a quest as TSV?

If we could define the texts as @HoofedEar suggested and some triggers it could work for simple quests. We would probably need lua event to when a certain item is picked or certain monster is killed.
