I think the list of meetups is really great, and a priority, so thanks a lot to those who got it working again!
Then I was thinking, what other events might be useful for engineers?
I think it might be useful for young developers to see about hackathons which are coming soon, and maybe even conferences too, which haven't been listed on Meetup.com. I would imagine displaying these on a separate page from the meetups. (Because these tend to be multi-day events, and a larger commitment to attend.) But that's debatable.
I don't know a good solution to this though. It sounds like a fair bit of manual work, collecting and curating events, and perhaps also removing any which have been posted on Meetup.
On the other hand, perhaps someone knows a source where these could be aggregated from? Or perhaps you think the solution should simply be to post the event on Meetup, so it can be collected automatically.
Anyway, I'll just leave this issue here, in case people want to discuss it.
