Status of official notifications support (local + FCM push) in Flet 1.0?

Notifications have been requested many times (#516, #2726, #2877, #3274, #3281, #4393, #4659), mostly closed as duplicates of #516, which is now closed. #5157 mentions a ndonkohenri/notifications branch but got no reply.

Is there a plan for an official extension covering:

• local notifications (e.g. backed by flutter_local_notifications), and
• remote push via FCM (e.g. firebase_messaging), including receiving a notification while the app is closed?

Concrete use case: an Android app distributed via GitHub Releases that wants to notify users about a new version or a finished background task. Today this needs pyjnius or a community package.

If the team prefers this to stay community-maintained, a pointer to a recommended package would help too.
