I´d like to have a toggle to either enable or disable the TTG Map Popup from the MMU Panel if i start a print via the file browser, because i´m using the automap feature and i just "skip" the TTG popup because there is no need for me to change anything. I´d like to just have the TTG popup open when i manually open it with the dropdown menu in the MMU panel.

Having this popup is only one additional click but I understand wanting to optimize the workflow. My plan was to add automapping to the UI so that that popup become a "review" screen that I think would still have benefit after the automap logic has done it's work... WDYT?

i guess WDYT means "what do you think" so here are my thoughts :D

after i set the automapping function to "color" i thought that your mentioned functionality is active and it shows the correct mapping in the popup; after further inspection it currently just displays the normal TTG map popup without any changes.
Your plan sounds just like my expectations i had when i first set automapping to "color"; if this functionality gets provided the popup still has a value, so you can check (prior to printing) if the autmapping worked correctly or if the user has to set the correct mapping manually

You have it correct. Currently the automap is done by Happy Hare in klipper, so the UI cannot know the results ahead of time. The popup thus shows the default TTG map. It does allow you to reconfig and set a one-time "skip automap" flag.

What I want to add is duplicating the automap functionality in Fluidd so that you will see the results (even pick the strategy) in the UI before proceeding. It will thus have value in all cases. This will likely be a future PR because I don't have time to build right now, but not too complex..
