Around 2002 3dfx's GPUs that dominated for years and provided the graphics of the Nintendo 64 had become outdated. The Voodoo 4 card didn't convince the market in which NVIDIA was now taking the lead.
At the same time Dreamcast silently left from the stage. As games like Ferrari 355 Challenge and Taxi Driver 2 show this machine was able to produce very competetive graphics.
NVIDIA has revealed itself over the years as a company that makes "overkill" products that don't add to the style, elegance and playability of games except games like Detroit: Become Human or GTA 5.
