Manual control of individual devices sync. Adding "delay" feature configurable on each device could achieve this.
Primary reason is to facilitate party scenario where I have I "semi loud" speaker and then individual party attendees have headphones in case they want to louder listenning experience. They would adjust this by ear to fit the main speaker.
Another scenario is to have multiple bluetooth speakers playing - I have tried this and they have different delays (or no delays if plugged directly) .
