chore(release): 1.12.0-rc.1

A release candidate for the AI-edition work merged today: imported audio and
voice-over recording, and transcript word editing with insertion.

Branched from the orphaned-media fix rather than from main, so the candidate
carries it. Merge #604 first and main matches this.
