MCP configuration is not properly documented

Describe the bug

There is no proper reference to add an MCP server. There are many things that are not clear when running /mcp add.

1. What does each of the server types mean? When should I use a particular server type?
2. What if I have multiple environment variables? Do I separate them with commas? Should I use quotes?
3. How do I map an ENV variable to its value? = or : or something else?
4. Should I use quotes for each tool?
5. Does the json config support any other options besides the ones mentioned in /mcp add ?

These are just a few from the top of my head.

Expected behavior

There shouldn't room for doubts. Either make the setup procedure more informational or make better documentation that is readily available.
