Does this process actually remove/disable AFP or is it still enabled and usable by any AFP client? Not that I need it, but just wondering if it's still there. |

Depends on what you set this in the settings 
This is OFF by default, for macOS 27 support. |

The actual AFP server process is never killed (regardless of what the checkbox is), so you can always connect to it via IP&port |

Thanks for that. As I said, I'm not wanting it, rather the opposite as I didn't want MacOS 27> getting confused by any AFP connection offers. |

I can see it is turned OFF in the app Settings and so off for each of my TCs. What does "Use Netatalk for metadata" mean though? I know Netatalk is AFP, so what does that setting actually mean? That was checked in the app Settings so is on for each TC. Does it not make sense to also uncheck that? |

Note, enabling AFP advertising will break Time Machine backups in the current version of macOS 27 beta.
