MP4 audio only playable in QuickTime, missing in other software

What happened?

Bettercaputre exports video files in .mp4 format. When playing these files in QuickTime Player, the audio works correctly. However, when opening the same file in other software (e.g., transcription tools, video platforms, or editors), the audio track is missing or not detected.

What did you expect to happen?

No response

Steps to Reproduce

1. Record a video using the software.
2. Export/save the recording as an .mp4 file.
3. Open the file in QuickTime Player and audio plays correctly.
4. Open the same file in anyother software (e.g., transcription tools, upload to platforms like YouTube --> audio is missing or not recognized.

I imported the .mp4 into HandBrake and found two audio track options:

• Track 1 (Default): Unknown (AAC LC, 2.0 channels, 2 kbps)
• Track 2 (Alternative): Unknown (AAC LC, 2.0 channels, 250 kbps)

The audio is clearly present- it plays correctly when Track 2 is selected manually.
