JS8 setup issue

Configuring JS8. Following an older KM4ACK older version JS8 linux install vid. When I get to the audio tab I do not get the Alsa option. I have set up the alsamixer. Per the video there are many options, but I only get two: "Built in" & "CM108". This is a brand new ubuntu install. Using Digirig and a G90. This is on a dedicated 73Linux for portable ops machine (Evolve laptop), so i have not installed many packages or drivers, so I might be missing something.
