Dear @kristian , with your help I managed to find the network key. Thank you very much for that. Unfortunately, I can't get any further again: |

Dear @JosefinBerlin, glad to help. No need to overcomplicate things luckily! 👍🏻 There is no need to add your SMLIGHT dongle to HomeAssistant or doing anything similar! If you have been able to sniff the network key, it is already more than half the battle, as ViLocal works essentially exactly the same as ZBTK did. What you did when sniffing for the network key, is you piped Now, HomeAssistant. ViLocal does not need to be added to your HA instance, neither does your SMLIGHT dongle, so don't worry about coordinator or something else. But sure, you can not use the same SMLIGHT dongle multi purpose. Either use it for ViLocal or connect it to your HA. If you want to do both, you need two dongles. ViLocal actually isn't connected to HA directly, but via your so called MQTT broker. You need to add the IP and username / password of your MQTT broker into the ViLocal configuration, and the data will automatically appear in HomeAssistant as own entities. This is all described in the README so please read it carefully. Thanks. |

Hi @JosefinBerlin and @kristian, I am using the same dongle SLZB-06MU via POE updated to the most recent firmware versions v3.5.5.dev1 as Zigbee Coordinator v20250220. I did not change any dongle settings since delivery. Sniffing for transport key was successful using the terminal app of my MacBook (2 days ago). |

Hi Kristian,The setting is disabled by default. So yes, it is off.Sorry, I did not find back what I wrote in the thread.PeterVon meinem iPad gesendetAm 04.08.2026 um 14:13 schrieb Kristian Kraljic ***@***.***>:
Hello @PiiCii58, have you remove / can you try to disable the same parameter that @JosefinBerlin did? "Enable processing of Zigbee socket packets" should be off, as far as Josef found out.
