Changing virtualenv for notebook on JH

Hi all,

We are testing Marimo on our JupyterHub instance and it is nothing short of amazing.

One thing we were wondering is if there were an easy way to switch the virtualenv associated to a Marimo notebook.

Something like in JH, a little dropdown that lists available kernels.

I can select the env when I create a new notebook, and I can also manually change the venv in the ///script section with tool.marimo.venv

Is there a chance to get that from the notebook directly? Or from the editor in the JupyterLab extension?

Hi @mdonato-fn I just created an issue on the JupyterHub extension: marimo-team/marimo-jupyter-extension#108

We currently do not have a mechanism. However we would be willing to have a PR. I think right clicking the file would be a good mechanism, what do you think?

Thanks! I will ask a coworker if he can help me with that.

We want to be mindful of Marimo's philosophy which, if I understand correctly, is to have each notebook having a sandbox env specified by the notebook, or belong to a project/repo.

So, in terms of UX, we would have a right click from the jupyterlab extension that allows to specify an env, as well as being able to specify the env from the "new notebook" button in the editor.

Mind, it works from the Jupyter sidebar, I am asked about the venv right away, but not from the editor.
