What is CAJAL?

CAJAL is not a general-purpose chat model. It is a specialized scientific paper generation tool — local, 2GB, producing LaTeX-formatted academic output.

Why MLX?

MLX runs models efficiently on Apple Silicon. A CAJAL MLX port would:

• Native Apple Silicon performance
• Research on MacBook Pro/Max
• Local paper generation for macOS users
