Add fingerprint authentication in lockscreen

What would you like to be added?

I think adding a fingerprint unlock during the password input like hyprlock or gdm would be nice since I have one. If you want I can test.

How will it help?

For using fingerprint authentication without editing stupid pam files. Almost all laptops have nowadays fingerprint scanners.

I see this was implemented in end-4/dots-hyprland#2308 - this would be a great addition.

I just tried and added this to hyprlock.conf and fingerprint works

auth {
    # This enables PAM authentication for hyprlock.
    # It's usually true by default, but good to be explicit.
    pam {
   		enabled = true
    	module = hyprlock
    }
    fingerprint {
    	enabled = true
    	ready_message = "(Scan fingerprint to unlock)"
    	present_message = "Scanning fingerprint"
    	retry_delay = 250
    }
}

In polkit-1 I have

#%PAM-1.0
auth       sufficient   pam_fprintd.so
...

and in sddm

#%PAM-1.0
auth        [success=1 new_authtok_reqd=1 default=ignore]  pam_unix.so try_first_pass likeauth nullok
auth        sufficient  pam_fprintd.so
