Auto complete doesn't auto capitalise after a period or newline

I can see that auto correct is working on MacOS with Edit > Spellchecker > Auto correct spelling enabled but strangely after a period/full stop or a newline it doesn't auto capitalise the first letter like with Apple Notes.

Newline:

Here is some text

i expect the 'i' to be capitalised automatically

After a period / full stop:

Here is some text. i expect the 'i' to be capitalised automatically.

I think this is controlled by the global Settings (see image below). Yeah, we don't support capitalization yet but we should. Adding this as enhancement. Thanks!

Thanks! Idk if it's related but I noticed that it didn’t initially work on Typora for me either until I enabled Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Check Spelling While Typing then it worked fine there. Also saw that Nota is missing this menu option under a similar menu.
