Syntax error when polling empty hotfolder

The AWS S3 Download script. I've managed to fix the problem in the meantime by placing an empty placeholder text file inside the hot folder which the script doesn't download/delete.

So by hotfolder, do you mean S3 bucket? The S3 bucket is empty and it throws a syntax error? Any other log messages you can share?

Had this issue as well. Worked around it by placing an empty sub-folder in the S3 bucket.

Seems like that eval on line 90 should be wrapped with a try/catch that exits. I still don't understand why it is a syntax error through. Could you try running the "list_cmd" in a terminal (when this scenario occurs) and post the output here? Additionally, use the workaround by putting an empty sub-folder and re-run the command again and post that output here? Comparing the two I might be able to determine why there is a syntax error.
