The login isn't stored in a file. The client saves credentials through QtKeychain (CredentialManager writes a QKeychain::WritePasswordJob under the app name, OpenCloud). On Windows, that means Windows Credential Manager, and uninstalling doesn't remove those entries. For a truly clean reinstall: Quit the client and uninstall it. Open Control Panel → Credential Manager → Windows Credentials and remove every entry with OpenCloud in its name. Delete the config folder in roaming AppData, %APPDATA%\OpenCloud. That's where opencloud.cfg lives (on Windows, ConfigFile::configPath() uses Qt's AppDataLocation, and the file is named after the app). The account list and server URL are kept there. Reinstall. If it still reconnects after that, search your user profile for any leftover opencloud.cfg. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
After problems with Opencloud Sync Client on Win 11 I tried to un- and reinstall it. But I wasn't able to completely purge everything. I checked %appdata% and %localappdata%, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\ and deleted Opencloud folders and didn't find anything else.
But after reboot, downloading and installing the client it started connecting to the server and syncing without entering the server's address and account data (login and password)?????
Where is this info stored? What else do I have to delete manually in order to completely purge the client and do a fresh reinstalllation?
Thanks in advance
Jochen
