Fonts aren't displaying as designated

I have had this issue with several different sites, so I know it isn't singular to one.

I will set the site fonts in appearances, but they aren't translating to the page. I am having to go in under STYLE>FONT FAMILY and type in the font I want selected, despite setting it in appearances.

I can make a video if needed. Thank you!
