Feature request: Add notifications for group members

Would be awesome to have the option for some sort of notification, especially to group members. I don't know what medium is best, maybe via email? Possibly an email summary with a configurable interval? Configurable notifications would be cool too. E.g. when a new expense is added, when the group settles up, when a comment is added to an expense (once this feature exists), if an expense is modified, if someone is added or removed to the group, etc.

Hmm, we do have notifications on expenses being added. Maybe the recent #459 introduced a regression here. You get no notifications at all? Could you double check also after disabling and enabling notifications?

I have never got notifications from SplitPro, neither has my partner. We are both on Android. I turned off Firefox notifications, and back on, then had my partner add an expense, and got no notification. Not sure if I am missing a setting, I guess I didn't specify Android earlier either.

Just want to add I also don't get any notifications when I run it in Firefox on Linux.

Just in case.. Did you configured the Web Push environment variables on your instance?

Yes I know, it could be a good addition to the instructions.

This is what I did to enable the Web Push Notifications on my instance:

1. Create you private/public key. You can use: vapidkeys.com

2. Add them to your environment variables:

• WEB_PUSH_PRIVATE_KEY= "Paste your generated private key here"
• WEB_PUSH_PUBLIC_KEY= "Paste your generated public key here"
• WEB_PUSH_EMAIL= "mailto:your.email@example.com"

The Web Push standard requires a contact URI (formatted as "mailto:your.email@example.com") inside the push payload so that push service providers (like Google or Mozilla) know who owns the server pushing the notifications in case of abuse.

3. Redeploy your docker container.

Ah, thank you, that worked perfectly. Now notifications are working! Would probably be good to add that to the readme, even just copy and paste your comment.
