What happened
Touchpad scrolling sometimes triggers back navigation when I only mean to scroll content. This affects multiple panels and views with their own scroll areas, particularly horizontal scrolling.
Please add a setting to disable swipe back/forward navigation across T3 Code. Turning it off should preserve normal scrolling, keyboard shortcuts, and navigation buttons.
Diagnosis
This is a request for control over gesture navigation. Searches of open and closed issues did not find a matching request.
Desktop back/forward buttons and two-finger trackpad swipe navigation were added in PR #27430, merged on October 30, 2026, as commit 476590d0ad. This is the relevant upstream implementation; it has not been confirmed against the affected client build.
The change mounts
HistorySwipeNavigationfor Electron without a preference to disable it. Its horizontal-scroll guard allows normal scrolling when a target or ancestor can still scroll in the gesture's direction. A gesture starting at a horizontal scroll boundary can therefore qualify for navigation if the remaining conditions are met. This is a source observation, not a confirmed reproduction of the reported behavior.Steps to reproduce
