Can not install pymupdf-layout?

Would like to try the PyMuPDF Layout feature and tried to install with:

pip install pymupdf-layout

but i get this error:

(test) C:\DEV\Python-Diverses\PyMuPDF\TEST>pip install pymupdf-layout
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement pymupdf-layout (from versions: none)

Why i am not able to install this library?

Please first of all upgrade your pip.
Second, what is your Python version? Did you verify that it is in the range of supported ones for pymupdf-layout as shown on PyPI: 3.10 through 3.13?

Yes thanks - this was the problem - i had python 3.9.
After upgrading to 3.13. it worked find and module installation was possible

Now i try it with this code:

import pymupdf.layout
import pymupdf4llm
from pathlib import Path

doc = pymupdf.open("inp.pdf")
md = pymupdf4llm.to_markdown(doc)

but i get this error:

Yes, this is a new issue reported today here.
It is caused in situations where any of Tesseract or OpenCV are unavailable.
Fix under development.
If you install both, the problem will not occur.

Just updated package pymupdf4llm to version 0.2.4.
If you run python -m pip install -U pymupdf4llm you should be able to use layout mode without Tesseract or OpenCV.
