Publish Python 3.12 wheels

Note: I'm a QC employee.

Right now only Python 3.8 (CPU) and 3.10 (GPU) wheels are published. E.g. see https://github.com/quic/aimet/releases/tag/2.13.0. When can we expect wheels for newer versions of Python. E.g. Ubuntu 24.04 ships with 3.12, and no way to easily install 3.10 without switching to an old version of the OS.

Hi @janjongboom thanks for filing this issue.
Currently AIMET is compatible with 3.10 for CPU and GPU.

We are actively working to expand support to multiple OSes. CPU wheel should work OOTB on 24.04 imo.

I'm an Embedded AI instructor designing a hands-on lab session for my students to explore model quantization. I plan to use AIMET as the primary tool for this class, so I wanted to follow up on this issue.

However, since Google Colab has updated its default runtime to Python 3.12, the current lack of 3.12 wheels is a blocker for easy classroom adoption.

Could you provide:

1. An update on the timeline for official Python 3.12 support?
2. Any recommended or tested workarounds for running AIMET in the current Google Colab environment (without requiring complex manual downgrades that might be difficult for students)?

Hi @gdippolito we are refactoring some of our CI pipeline to make multi-python support available.
It should be out in next couple releases.
