Suggestion: Fully stop Lively on battery and restart only when plugged in #2997

I’ve noticed an issue with the “Pause Lively when on battery power” and “Start when plugged in” feature. When I start up my laptop on battery, the feature works perfectly — Lively pauses as expected. However, when I plug in the charger, Lively starts automatically but runs very laggy right away (it seems to be running on the iGPU after Windows switches drivers). If I manually click “Set as Wallpaper” in the app again, it switches to the dGPU and becomes smooth. I’d like to suggest changing this behavior so that Lively completely stops running while on battery and starts fresh only when plugged in, instead of just pausing and resuming. This might help avoid lag caused by GPU switching and ensure smoother performance. Thank you for your great work and for considering this improvement! Seems like a simple restart wallpaper when plugged into power option is what is needed (fully stopping and restarting will be difficult to implement otherwise.) |
