Language your translation is for:
Portuguese (Brazil) / pt-BR
URL to the repo where you're working:
https://github.com/rust-book-pt-br/rust-book-pt-br
Additional context:
Hello! I’m opening this issue to register a new community translation effort for The Rust Programming Language in Brazilian Portuguese.
This repository is a community-maintained, non-official translation fork based on:
https://github.com/rust-lang/book
Our goal is to keep the translated content aligned with upstream while organizing review and contributions from the Brazilian Rust community.
There is already an older Portuguese (Brazil) translation listed in Appendix F:
https://github.com/rust-br/rust-book-pt-br
However, that repository is no longer being maintained, so this new repository is intended to continue the pt-BR translation effort in an active and community-driven way.
A few details about this new effort:
- it keeps the upstream English source in
src
- it maintains the Brazilian Portuguese translation in
src-pt-br
- it preserves the original licensing model
- it is explicitly presented as a non-official community translation
If appropriate, I’d also appreciate updating the Portuguese (Brazil) translation reference in the translations appendix to point to this repository instead of the older unmaintained one.
