Device:
Moto Edge 50
Android 15 (latest update)
Issue Summary:
When trying to log into a self-hosted Nextcloud server, Saber cannot open an external browser.
No browser window appears, no error is shown, and the login flow never starts.
When using the official Nextcloud server (nextcloud.com) inside Saber, the browser opens correctly.
Only the self-hosted domain fails to trigger the browser intent.
Default browser: Chrome
Behavior:
Chrome opens normally for any link when tapped manually
Chrome also works with other apps
Only Saber → external browser → no action at all
Steps to reproduce:
Open Saber
Add new Nextcloud account
Enter self-hosted URL, e.g.:
https://nextcloud.xxxxxx.com
Press "Log in"
Expected: Chrome should open the login flow (/login/v2)
Actual: Nothing happens (no browser popup, no error)
Expected behavior:
Saber should open the external browser (Chrome) and load the Nextcloud Login Flow v2 page.
Actual behavior:
No browser opens
No error message
UI stays on the same screen
This happens only with self-hosted Nextcloud
Official Nextcloud login works normally
Additional information / What I tried:
Chrome set as default browser
Chrome works normally outside Saber
Reinstalled Saber
Confirmed HTTPS / valid certificate
Confirmed Nextcloud server web UI works on Chrome
Cannot find "Open by default / Link handling" menu on Moto / Android 15
Device likely enforcing Android 15 link-handling restrictions for unverified domains
Possible cause:
Android 15 has new link-handling and app-link verification behavior.
Moto Edge 50 may be blocking external intents for unverified domains, so Saber cannot trigger browser login for custom Nextcloud servers.
Request:
Could Saber provide an option to force external browser login with a non-verified domain?
Or bypass Android 15 link-handling restrictions?
Or log an error when external browser intent fails?
