Good Afternoon,
I have proudly been a sponsor of MKDocs Material for quite a while to gain access to the features in the Insiders Build. I just got a notice that @squidfunk is no longer participating in the sponsorship program. What will happen with the insider builds?

Awesome, I should have checked there first but am still waiting for my coffee to kick in. I guess I will need to do some testing over the weekend to port my site over to Zensical. Hopefully it's a pretty painless process but my site is pretty massive from a content standpoint (over 3500 markdown files) so faster build times will be a welcome change.

Are all of the previous insider only features going to be merged into this repo now? I was making use of the projects feature, but now I can't build my project since the insider repo is gone, nor can I migrate to Zensical since that doesn't support it either.

@alexvoss is there any estimate on mkdocstring availability? That's our only blocker.

Based on the new documentation mkdocstring is already supported

It will be supported. At this point in time we cannot make such predictions, I am afraid. We know that mkdocstrings is important to many users, which is why we are so happy to have @pawamoy on the team. API Docs are on our roadmap. You can continue using Material for MkDocs as before until it is the right time for your project to switch.

This may be covered in the follow up announcement, but I had another thought. Are there plans to make the insiders repo public and publish it? Would be a nice win to both simplify CI a bit and allow third-party contributors to my project to also build the docs. Which is something they can't do at the moment since of course they don't have access to the repo.

yeah it now seems like there is no way to get new insiders users? even if those prospective users are fine accepting the maintenance mode?

@Blacksmoke16 @mdrxy we will address these topics in the announcement next week, which will make a lot of users very happy. Until then, we kindly ask for a little more patience – it's just a few days away ☺️
