Autocorrect affixes extra letter

I'm really enjoying the new autocorrect feature, it's great!

I noticed that sometimes it will add a final letter to a word, unnecessarily. I cannot repro the problem easily.

For example, if I type hello_world_, it will be changed to hello_worldd_; underscore is actually a space.

That was just an example: sometimes the problem occurs and sometimes not - it happens for all sorts of words. I don't know if it's due to the word itself, or whether the machine is slow, or it's a conflict with another extension, or due to typing speed, or something else.

If you can't repro feel free to close the issue. In time, maybe others will also have this problem, find this issue, and we can find the cause.

It sounds like probably a race condition, I can't seem to reproduce it myself though. Is "hello world" a real example where you saw it? I ask because notably worl_ does autocorrect to world_ and that may have something to do with it.

@Jason3S did mention potential issues with race conditions on #4837, they might have some idea how to address it

Yes "hello world" is a real case.
But to reiterate, I can't reliably repro... sometimes it works and sometimes not.
If I notice any other pattern I'll update this thread.
