Confusion of the 'args'

Sorry for the new person question, but I am really having trouble figuring out what parameters are affected by 'arg, 'arg2', and 'arg3'. I could not find examples showing what these do.

camera.ptz_control_command(action="start", code="Down", arg1=0, arg2=0, arg3=0)

I can make the camera move trying random values, but can not figure out what the pattern is. Any help would be appreciated.

Inferred from the documentation, args 1 and 3 don't matter and arg2 is the speed in the range 1-8. However some say that arg1 is vertical and arg2 is horizontal speed.
