This idea might be a bit fanciful.

Can we use cr-sqlite to support Trailbase and achieve distributed operation of Trailbase

Various flavors of "distributed" keep cropping up as a discussion. I've also chatted with a few chaps:

There's certainly things that can be done independent of whether cr-sqlite is the best fit. It depends a bit on what folks are trying to achieve. There is a cost to synchronization that could be felt strongly given how fast sqlite is. For me personally the highest priority would be disaster recovery and failover. Edge replication for lower latency reads ads a lot of complexity in terms of traffic routing. There are other challenges around stickiness with realtime connections etc.

I'm also interested in graft because it might unlock PITR.

For disaster recovery, you can get pretty far today with litestream.
